• @Rhodes MonoMany don't understand the challenges of northern living. I fly Darwin-UK 3 or 4 times a year. SQ has been almost full and the few available seats are priced at eye watering levels. This means I have to back track via a southern capital and it adds over 10hrs each way.I figur...

  • I'm a Darwinite. I have to laugh at the number of people who probably don't live in Darwin yet feel the need to disparage a service they will never fly.The A220 and 737 are different, just like the service styles of SQ and QF. Some of us will like SQ and others will like QF. It's great to co...

  • SQ and QF both feature 30 in pitch in economy on the DRW-SIN run.I live in Darwin. l will happily trade a TV for inflight WIFI, QF's wider A220 seats that are set 5 abreast. I can travel with my partner in privacy.

  • My beef - or chicken?- is less about food quality, which I find reasonable on QF, but poor use of technology which could make for a smoother and more personalised inflight experience.Bring back the option to pre order the meal in economy. This would include cross country flights to Perth or Darwi...

  • Transcontinental is also north-south in Australia.I fly monthly to Darwin and the Weiss bars are back on those flights when it is a 737.I'd be interesting to know if there is any difference with Qantas Link catering? You can end up on a transcontinental sector flown by E190s or A320s from Darwin....

  • Jetstar has recently changed the fare classes. The Max fare has been replaced by the Flex Plus. Part of change is that status credits and points are now classed as economy rather than flexible economy. Therefore, fewer points and half the status credits.Outside of the capitals, Jetstar is often t...

  • As Qantas made the change, you can claim the higher QF points if this isn't done automatically. The points will be as per the Qantas ticket booked. I'd suggest that you call Qantas for advice on how this needs to be processed.

  • You can select EK seats if using a QF flight number via the Emirates website. Simply put your Qantas 6 digit booking number in the appropriate manage booking field. You can view the seat map and pay for any applicable seating fees directly with EK via their manage booking portal.
